A little about Bianchi Bikes
By Edoardo Bianchi in Milan, Italy, Bianchi bikes in the year 1885 (that's old!). In the same year, the company has pioneered the EQUI-size wheel with pneumatic rubber tires (not to mention the front wheel caliper-operated braking mechanism). Known as one of the world's oldest bicycle companies, Bianchi is known for race bicycles, track bicycles, leisure bikes and even fixed gear bikes of the modern era.
Bianchi in the U.S.
In the United States, Bianchi Headquarters is located in Hayward, California, USA. Today, Bianchi bikes made in the following categories: Ducati Corse, Hors Categorie, born performance, Coast 2 Coast, Dama Bianca, D2 Special, Classica, Steel Road, MTB Performance MTB recreation, sports, and cross-terrain. Of course in each of these categories is a series of elegant, high-performance bikes multi-terrain racing on classic styles. Even today, fixed gear fanatics like Bianchi bikes for their history, design, prestige, and (they are also good with Campagnolo parts).
The Taiwan Conspiracy
Known for originating in Italy, Bianchi Bicycles now divide their production in Italy and Taiwan. Although some will say this detracts from the purity of Bianchi and the "prestige" as one of the true racing, the production overseas has undoubtedly contributed to the cost to discover and many Bianchi for the first time at an affordable price. In the U.S., the majority of Bianchi bicycles are sold in Taiwan. Only the Reparto Corse category is still in Italy.

When it comes to work for Reiter, Bianchi has a few. From Jan Ullrich to Danilo Di Luca, Bianchi won numerous Tour de France as well as victories in the Giro d'Italia. The bicycle has a reputation to win prizes on the line and on the streets, so do not think that you are a cheap-o bike here.
The Auto Connection
In the mid-1950s, Bianchi, in collaboration with Pirelli and Fiat to AUTOBIANCHI. These short-lived automobile manufacturer producing cars in 1996. They produced cars like the Bianchina Trasformabile, Stellina and Primula (not to mention the A111 and A112). But enough about cars ... back to bicycles.
Traditional Green Bianchi
You may have heard of the traditional green Bianchi. It is a turquoise color called Celeste. The theories and stories about this color with the color of the sky of Milan, the Italian color of the queen's eyes (in time), and also that it is a mixture of military surplus paint. Whatever the reason, Bianchi Green is a part of the tradition and recognizable by Bianchi fans in the world.

If you're thinking about how they first road / mountain bike, Bianchi is a brand to consider. It's rich history and enduring brand power make this a bike worth the investment. Prices range and vary from model to model and the accessories available, so be sure to compare. For you fixed gear fans, older Bianchis can be picked up online from Craigslist and other online / off-line second-hand shops. If you're lucky, you may find only in the local neighborhood garage sale.
