harley motor bikes
Engelberg is a small community in central Switzerland, the area hosts a population of just 3,500 people. The most popular for its winter activities, it is the home for many rugged mountain bike trails, many of which are better suited for hiking. Rich in the historical culture of the Middle Ages, the Benedictine monastery as a leader in education services, Engelberg in the 19th century was considered one of the top resorts and spa areas.
The terrain in Engelberg is simply majestic. Known for its cascading cliff bands and small quantity, this is an area where hardcore winter athletes come to their resolve. People come here to actually drive, not to be seen, so the trip a different mental state of destruction. It is not only the massive 3,200-meter peaks, the hard-to 1,020-meters increased the city a large portion of the draw is the culture. When I think about Switzerland in my view, deviations from the old countries, the unique architecture, old churches and houses of wood with decorative wood trim. Vibrant flowers and Swiss-style shutters open to almost any structure, the performance. Almost like Fantasy, Engelberg breathes authenticity, a real Swiss experience.
This summer GT Bicycles chose their hosts product launch in 2008 Engelberg. Basically it's an ideal excuse for us
Sanction Commission - All Mountain
The Sanction Commission is GT's All Mountain machine with a focus on freeriding. GT says this bike has been through artificial and for the people. You have searched the Internet and what the demand through chat forums and other sources. GT, that people want a 30 lb bike climb, with ease and even a shred Rowdy downhill. I personally think that the Internet has always dreamed of, but GT has the challenge anyway. How they came with a 34lbs, 6 "travel bike that increases with relative ease, but also is capable of a bombing downhill. 6.7lbs The monocoque frame is spec'd with a good lyric Rock Shox fork and Fox DHX Air shock.
My personal view on the development of other ones. The site I use on a daily basis calls for stability and strength of a bicycle. What I need is more bars, a shorter shaft, heavy duty tires, and believe it or not ... more weight! I must be crazy, but the truth, when a light bike hits a rock at high speed you get thrown. I think (like many others), the Commission would sanction with a little more freeride beef. I know these parts are easily replaced, but if I buy a bike that says freeride, I want it to free riding out of the box. Of course, it all depends on your definition of freeriding. Total $ 3199 for the price I must say that the bicycle is still an excellent price.
Force - All Mountain / XC
The force is similar to the Sanction Commission, but this is rather typical of the XC-market and offers a more affordable build. It replaces the I-Drive 5 and comes with only a little more Squish on the back on a Fox RP23 shock. It weighs 4lbs less than its big brother and is combined with a steeper angle 67degree head and full XT build kit. The bike is well suited for the lighter-duty drivers, but still in a position to take more varied landscape. Both the Commission and the sanctioning force with removable dropouts on both sides. The Sanction Commission, comes stock with a 12mm Rock Shox Maxl, the troupe with a standard bearing QR. The beauty is if you want more (or less) of beef on your axis, you can easily swap outs.
The best Independent Drivetrain (GT, the new formulation for the I-drive) once effortless, bob-free driving and eliminates chain growth. There has been some work done on the I-Drive system, and it promises much more service friendly. Both bikes use the latest development in the frame design with tubes arcing upward. GT's is actually two pieces together and not as a Hyrdoformed tube. Overall, the Force is a force to be reckoned with when shopping for a round, do everything kind of bike.
Zaskar - XC
It is the 20th Anniversary of the Zaskar in 08 and to achieve GT decided something special. The Zaskar is re-released in a ball-burnished Alcoa 6061-T6 tubing, as the original. It will be modernized in order for a 100mm fork, a lower standover height and is equipped with disk mounts. The whole package is wrapped in a special 20-year anniversary On.
It is not everything, on the other end of the spectrum of Zaskar, GT, the all carbon version. The 2.64 kilograms bicycle frame pimped out! The team version comes with an extra class groupo full XTR, Fox F100RL fork, Ritchey carbon bars and stem and decorated with a sexy black on black sticker kit. They could easily show up to your wedding on this rig, and nobody would think twice, the bike is pure sex and cocktails. The Team version is well suited for serious XC racing hounds. If you have a carbon fiber bike budget to try the Pro version, the only difference is instead of XT XTR. The team around the 4000 $-retail brand.
GT has more in the barn, so keep your eyes open for the long-term tests in the next few questions or point your browser to http://www.gtbicycles.com Huge thanks to the crew of GT to us and control another place on my "places I must see" list.
