Well ... it's the middle of summer and a good time for grilling. There are a number of competitions and festivals, in the weeks and months to come. I have an ad in our newspaper for a motorcycle and Grill festival should be fun, since I love barbecuing and riding my Harley Sportster. One thing I like about the Blues, Bikes, BBQ and ... she is on a lot of money for charitable organizations.
For example, the Savannah Bicycle and BBQ Festival, a Poker Run that benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. And we get to eat BBQ afterwards! Most barbecue competitions to promote local charities or the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Not only are these events fun, they help other people from the same time. So ... received and at the next barbecue festival near you!
Have you ever noticed that Blues and BBQ go hand in hand? Perhaps the origin of this "connection" can be traced back to Beale Street in Memphis - home of the blues and home to some of the best barbecue restaurants in the world. And do not forget ... Kansas City is known for its blues, jazz and barbecue too. So, at the next barbecue festival in your neighborhood, maybe you can ride your bike, or check out all the other bikes and listen to some good blues music.
