To be honest, I do not like the fact that most cars of today look the same, because I love stylish cars. In my opinion, every car has an individual personality. The classic American cars have this unique attributes. Pontiac, Cadillac, Chevrolet and the names of the other classic cars conjure up a picture of the acceleration of the highways and the environment.
But the people who deal with the environment not patronize big, brash cars because they tend to be gas-guzzlers. For example, a Hummer SUV is a staggering nine miles to the gallon. Since I am also an environment-minded person, American cars offer me a conflict of interest.
In the past we were never too worried about how many miles we were always on the gallon. A few decades ago that the government does not pile on the tax cost of the trip, because fuel was cheap and there was no social support. However, the price of gas has steadily increased and more people are now worried about the impact of American cars on the environment.
European cars like Saab and BMW, the more economical to operate, are now becoming more popular. But some people still believe these cars than American cars, because some of them are manufactured in the U.S.. These cars are a necessary lifestyle change, even though they might not be so much fun.
There are a few American cars, the culture as icons. Some American cars have contributed to many films and TV shows. For example, the cherry red Ford Gran Torino was like a character in "Starsky and Hutch" series. This car has been lovingly as striped tomatoes. It screeched around the corner and slid sideways into the two detectives chased after the bad guys.
