rocky mountain bikes
buying a house is just about the most important investment you can in your life. Various transportation come second - from yachts and boats and cars motorbikes. Purchase of a bicycle is not quite as expensive as that - but there are so many brands available on so many different price ranges, that it is up to you a little bit before you go and spend money.
Bicycles can be used rollers to the top-of-the line road or mountain bikes. This article describes how to buy a mountain bike.
How much you pay?
Are you already a biker, or are you just the inclusion of the sport? Do you intend to ride every day or only on weekends? Do you have a safe place to put your bike when you are not using it?
All these are questions you ask, must, before your first bike. If you simply interested in the hobby mountain biking, you do not want to buy a top-of-the-line thousand dollar bike until you are sure you are using it. Of course there is a Catch-22 there. Top-of-the-line bikes are so easy and soooo good that you're probably in one case, whereas if you are a poor bike to work with him you could sour on the sport forever.
The best thing to do is test ride as many bikes as possible in the various price ranges. Your local bike store will not let you test ride their bikes a mountain - but you can bike to the trail heads and give them a try.
Where Will You Buy
Each book or article you read will advise you not to buy a bike from a mass merchant store such as Wal-Mart or Target. Why? Because they buy lower range bikes, which they can sell cheap, and the wheels are not necessarily well together. Whereas if you buy the cheap child bike a bike store, it is lighter than the mass market version, and the business people will make sure that it fits your child.
So you can use either your local bike shop or buy online. It is usually best to buy a bike from your store at the beginning, how can they help with the bike and advise you. If you have ridden for years and years and know what you need, buying online makes sense.
What will you buy?
You ask yourself this question in conjunction with "" is how much you pay. "" Again, all depends on how often you expect the bike to use. If you plan to do mainly with the occasional mountain bike cross country trip, and only once in a while, go to an existing mountain ... then you will not be on the same type of bike as someone who is a pure downhill.
Mountain bikes are available in two types - hard tail and full suspension. The hard tail has suspension in the front, but not in the back - hence the term "hard tail." Full suspension bikes are comfortable ... but be more expensive.
When will you buy?
Just like car dealers sell models at a discount at the end of season sale, then bike stores. If you live in an area with a "winter", "You are bound to see some winter season sales.
So do not be impatient ... but not beyond the summer fun, either!
