The wife and I recently invested in a few mountain bikes in an effort to fit, save money, and perhaps a few children for the environment. I am pleased to say several months, that we certainly fitter, have saved some money more active and not go anywhere, and for the environment I guess you could say we are doing our bit.
I was surprised at the beginning of our little life change in the variety of mountain bikes out there to attract all levels of ability and certainly all sizes of wallet. I admit to being confused at this time, where to begin, and I expect, I was not, then and now, the only one. The categories below can help, how they helped me through the jargon and the sales pitch, so that you have the right bike for you.
* Price range. You can make a lot of money for a decent mountain bike but my advice is to stay at the price of the test on the road, and only the mountain bikes in this price class, period. I did the same when I buy a new car, that's why I'm still married.
* Terrain. What type of mountain bike are you going to do, may affect the type of bike you buy. Will thrill looking downhill, trail racing, cross-county race, or like me, mountain cruising.
* Comfort. My advice is here for a full suspension mountain bike, the Hardtail can be cheaper alternative, but in the long term, the full suspension bikes are comfortable. Your behind will thank you.
* Components. There are great combinations of components available when buying a mountain bike. Start with the fork, wheelsets and the switch. Remember, if you have the right bike you can find many of the components later.
* Right time to buy. Mountain bike prices of the season with many models sold spring to summer. If you are out of season you can also choose a good business.
* The dealer. I recommend you buy, or at least test your mountain bike at your local dealer. You get a far better service, even if you buy at the end of the bike for a better price elsewhere. Remember, the points before, this bike is for you the wheel is not necessarily the dealer wants to own.
* Reviews. If you have the right bike, take a deep breath and walk away for twenty-four hours. During this time, and some reviews. This breather in May to strengthen your decision as a good, or lead you to rethink. At least you are safe.
I hope you find the right mountain bike to your needs. Remember to have fun, mountain biking in all its style is a great sport and a good opportunity to fit.
